Bada Dabba’s home decor brings you the auspicious puja thali with intricate Kundan bead work.
Thali (थाली) is an Indian word which means a plate, dish or tray. During auspicious occasions, these decorated thalis can be used to hold all the worship materials. These are widely used during Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Indian Weddings, Durga Pooja, Bhai Beej and many other festivals and celebrations.
This thali can be customized according to your needs. Color and design pattern of beads can be changed as per your taste. Accordingly, small bowls (कटोरी) or holders can be fastened to the thali for keeping worship materials (पूजा सामग्री) like Haldi (हल्दी), Kumkum, Incense sticks, etc.
The base material for this thali is made of Acrylic and is factory made. Furthermore, primary colors (Red, Green, Blue) which can be seen over the thali (outer) are factory painted.
All of Kundan bead work is done by hand and is an output of tremendous amount of patience in decorating the thali with such an intricate artwork.
An example I often use to illustrate the reality of vanity, is this: look at the peacock; it’s beautiful if you look at it from the front. But if you look at it from behind, you discover the truth… Whoever gives in to such self-absorbed vanity has huge misery hiding inside them. – Pope Francis
Hindu Lord, Shri Krishna always wears a Peacock feather on His crown. A belief prevails that Peacock is the only creature in nature that observes complete chastity in life. It is a symbol of pure life and also a feeling of plentitude since it’s feathers contains all the seven colors. Since all festivals and worships should be done with a pure heart and by devoting oneself into the tunes of Lord, so we decided to consider Peacock as the main element in our puja thali.
What can it be used for?
We expect our customers to mainly use this thali for auspicious occasion and festivals as mentioned earlier. However, this will also be a suitable candidate for an amazing wall art or can be kept as a table top decoration.
It would be difficult for us to customize the base (acrylic), as we are giving bulk orders in the factory. Changing the design of the base would be a difficult, time-consuming and expensive task since the machine’s order of commands will be modified which includes other more complexities.
However, all of the handcrafted work which is Kundan artwork, type of beads, the size of beads, colors of beads can be customized. Also, the thali can be customized to include more of the intricate work to make the overall product as much more feature rich.
All products on Bada Dabba is an output of self-made and thought designs which are not copied from others.
